How did we determine the rankings?

Our rankings are based on our real world experience working with insurance companies in Illinois over the last 15 years. Here are some attributes we feel are important:

    Coverage
    Price
    Customer service
    Claims experience
    Financial stability

Some companies are strong in one area but weak in others. For example, some companies will have a great price, but the claims experience is poor. Others may have great coverage, but the price is significantly out of line. Our top 5 choices have a healthy blend of these attributes and we would feel comfortable recommending them to anyone.
